MELD Issue 73: International Photography Redefined

photoED Magazine proudly presents MELD (Issue #73), its first international edition,
celebrating photography as a creative blender. This special issue highlights artists who push
the boundaries of image-making, merging traditional and contemporary processes into bold
new visual statements.

Since 2001, photoED Magazine has championed lens-based storytelling, primarily
showcasing Canadian talent. Now, with MELD, the publication expands its vision to an
international stage, presenting artists who embrace complexity, experimentation, and
innovation.

“The work in this issue is not about instant gratification. These are projects that demand
engagement, curiosity, and reflection,” says photoED Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Rita
Godlevskis. “MELD showcases artists who are shaping the future of photography.”

Though many of the works in MELD explore themes such as climate change, human rights,
war, and artificial intelligence, the issue as a whole presents a message of optimism,
empowerment, and transformation through creative expression.

MELD is available in print and digital formats from April 1st. Order your copy at photoed.ca.
