2026 Year of Photojournalism – Featured Work
PLEASE READ AND CAREFULLY FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES BELOW
Please limit your submission to 15-20 images, do not submit more than 20 .
Note: It is free to submit photographs to be featured. There is no payment for images featured in Wobneb Magazine.
Email:
• Subject line of your email should indicate issue you are submitting your work for consideration for 2026 Photojournalism
• Please send your images in 1 email
• Please try to attach the image files not embed them, a zip file can be used if your application only embeds files.
• Embedded files do not always show up in the email when it loads, some files may be missed as a result.
• A zip file is fine, no .rar files please
• Please do not share them using Google Drive, or other file sharing applications
• Please put all submission information as text in your email, not as attached documents. Only images should be attached.
• Please do not send PDFs or other text files.
Image File Specifications:
• JPG files only
• 1200 pixels for the LONGEST edge
For a horizontal picture = width 1200 px
For a vertical picture = height 1200 px
• File size needs to be around 1MB or smaller, please optimize your images for web (This is done easily using Photoshop Export > Save for Web)
• No borders or watermarks – Please do not include borders or watermarks, ask if you have questions about what is acceptable
Instructions for saving your images for web are widely available. Please google it. Thanks!
File Naming:
• Please name the files with your first name and last name (given name then surname) and a number. Use the same name that you list in your email as your name.
No parenthesis or other non letter/number characters. You can put an underscore or dash between first and last name if you would like.
• Please check that you did not put an extra .jpg in your file name, if your computer hides file extensions try checking the file name after you attach it to your email. (name.jpg NOT name.jpg.jpg)
Example for “Frank Foster” = FrankFoster1.jpg, FrankFoster2.jpg etc.
Please Include With Your Entry:
• Name – not in all capital letters please. First (given) name, then Last (surname) name.
• Location – where you live currently
• Titles for your photographs in a numbered list.
• Project statement for your work. This is not optional. Photojournalism best helps illustrate and support complex topics when there is context. Submissions without a supporting statement will be not be considered for publication.
• Please write out EACH title as you would want it to appear. If they all have the same title, write it out for each one.
- Please have the list numbers match your file numbers.
- You can include a series or project name with each title.
- * For projects and assignment work, titles can be a great way to provide context.
• URL for your portfolio or website if you have one. We prefer to list websites or portfolio sites, and not social media accounts unless absolutely necessary. Please spell out the full URL
• Contact information – If you do not have a website or portfolio site URL you can provide an email address OR Instagram handle.
